The Band
Roux du Bayou Cajun Band plays authentic cajun, zydeco, swamp pop, mardi gras music. The band can also incorporate some select style music from Oldies, Rock n Roll, R&B and vintage country. Their high energy style has brought them repeated engagements at a variety of quality venues across the north, south, east, western states drawing crowds of enthusiastics at events such as Casinos, Conventions, Corporate Events, Weddings, Festivals, Dances, Parties, etc...The band has been together for 13yrs. We are happy to travel to destination throughout the USA. Roux du Bayou received the prestigious 2010 award, 1st Runner Up in the category Prix de Hors Nous best cajun band outside of Louisiana from the Cajun French Music Association. Roux du Bayou is actively seeking an agent to book fulltime... AA-EEE!!!!!!!!

Paul Gregoire ( Band leader) was born and raised in the small village of Dulac, La. He is a Native American and member of the Biloxi-Chitimacha Tribe based in Terrebonne Parish Houma, La. Paul began playing music at the age of 12 in church and appearing as a guest with different bands. In 1989 Paul moved to Nashville, Tn. to pursue his music career. In 1993 he met Grand Ole Opry Star Jimmy C. Newman and started subbing for Jimmy's acclaimed accordianist Bessyl Duhon. Paul was featured in Jimmy C Newman's video "Jambalaya" and the movie "Changing Hearts" filmed in Nashville playing his accordian. In 1997 he put together Roux du Bayou Cajun Band to combine his love of Cajun music and his passion for his roots. |

Wade Bernard ( Guitar and Bass) was born in Thibodaux, La. and grew up in Golden Meadow along bayou Lafourche 50 miles south of New Orleans. He moved to Nashville, Tn. in 1981 where he joined up with Grand Ole Opry Star Jimmy C. Newman and Country Star Ronnie McDowell touring the USA and overseas. Wade has recorded with various cajun and country artist.He also has recorded his own Cajun French music cd's. Wade was nominated by the Cajun French Music Association for best cajun vocalist in 2001 and 2002. |

Jimmy C Clark ( Fiddle, Lead Guitar and Trumpet) was born in Iowa. He is a multi-talented singer/songwriter/musician who began his professional career at the age of seven. In 1991, Jimmy moved to Nashville, Tn. and has worked on hundreds of studio projects from Cajun artist Joel Sonnier to Country Queen Loretta Lynn. Jimmy, a six generation Fiddler, also plays Mandolin, Drums, Steel and Piano. |

"BIG" Al Henderson ( Bass) was born and raised in Columbus, Ga. He spent his teenage years playing bass with local artist such as Oscar Toney, Jr, "For your Precious Love", and Peggy Scott and JoJo Benson "Lovers Hidaway". Al spent a lot of his time touring the Chittlen Circuit through Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia in his early years before heading to Nashville making it his home since 1976. Al has played many types of music and worked on projects throughout the years with people such as Chuck Emery "The Royal Guardsmen", Rudi Wooten and brothers, and Al Jolson Jr. Productions.
